We're about...COACHING.
Our Coaching Philosophy:
We love helping people figure out what matters to them, what their purpose is in life and work, and how to get there. We have many years of experience coaching executives, business leaders and students, and over that time, we have cultivated a few key thoughts:
1. That as individuals, we are each whole, capable, resourceful and creative - how we tap into that and use it is unique to each of us.
2. That organizations thrive when people are engaged, connected and purposeful.
3. That we all have something significantly positive to contribute to our work and the world...sometimes we just need help sorting it out.
4. That every situation and circumstance has multiple perspectives, and we miss a lot when we don't slow down to understand them all.
Vickie Kozhushchenko has developed internal (peer to peer and leader to manager) coaching programs for organizations, as well as formally and informally coached students, peers, leaders and executives across various industries. She takes a service-based approach to her work (driven by a degree in hospitality management and work experience in hospitality, food & facility services and healthcare organizations). She believes this allows her to connect with clients because she views her work as service to others and her life in the same way. She also incorporates the other parts of her life into her coaching work, and says, "I know how valuable it can be to bring all of your separate "hats" to the table to determine the best one(s) to wear in each situation. So, I'll work with my clients as a coach, but also as a mother, wife, sister, gardener, organic/sustainable food champion, business leader, former executive, business owner, HR professional, tennis player, reader, cook, tech geek, music fanatic....you get the picture."
Our coaching is focused in the areas of Early Career Coaching, Mid-Career Coaching and Leadership Coaching. Early Career Coaching is designed for undergraduate and graduate students getting ready to launch their careers as well as recently graduated professionals who recognize the importance of mapping their career possibilities. Mid-Career Coaching is about purposefully defining and building a personal brand and professional presence or working through a career transition, while Leadership Coaching provides senior leaders (typically the Senior Manager, Director and Vice President roles) with the tools and support to serve their organizations in purposeful ways while uncovering and strengthening their own inherent capabilities.
We're about...LEARNING.
We spend a lot of time thinking about, and talking about learning around here. When you're open to constant and frequent learning, your potential to grow and develop is infinite. Sometimes it's the boring kind of learning - the kind that we each must do to live in the world and do our work: seminars to update our certifications, article readings on the latest trend in our field of expertise, the directions on the package of frozen chicken and rice we just picked up from the grocery store and need to prepare for dinner. But luckily, it's often the seminars we choose to take, the articles we want to read and the recipes we're dying to try that translate into learning we didn't even think we were going to have. And how exciting is that?!
Whichever kind it is, it's so crucial to be open to all of them in order to be our best selves and that is actually the hardest thing to learn, we think...that even the boring, un-fun stuff that doesn't really interest us or that seems like just a timewaster (or time-sucker!) has merit and value. And what tends to happen is that every once in a while, we find a nugget of something in the "not so fun" learning that turns into a huge, exciting opportunity to learn something really cool and new. So...let's stay open to all kinds of learning, and remember that even though there are times that we all have to force ourselves to stay focused on the boring and blah, it all has value in the long run!
